Mantra Meditation & Tea Ceremony
We start with a mindful ritual, helping to calm the mind and improve mood. We enjoy a quiet tea moment, breathe deeply, and let our mood lift naturally.
After that we enter a meditative state by chanting easy to follow Sanskrit mantra's under harmonic and melodic guidance of harmonium and guitar.
This session may bring you beyond time and space.
We start at 16.00 so please come in time

During this satsang, with a mantra concert, we invite you to return home to yourself, nourish your energy and connect with what makes life lighter and richer.
The evening begins with meditation, in which you land in peace and presence.
This is followed by an in-depth mantra concert by BHAKTI BLISS EXPERIENCE with Dhanyo Scholten (Dharmananda) and his musicians. The sound and vibration open the energy field and bring relaxation, vitality and connectedness. You can sing along or listen to the mantra´s, both are totally fine.
We conclude with a light ritual, in which you can absorb light and peace for yourself and let it flow to the world.
Afterwards there is tea & prassad (a small sweet) to share together. With this special edition, there is also a delicious vegan soup for everyone.
At Yoga Vidya Rotterdam you are welcome as you are. Openness to spirituality is important - if you have nothing to do with that, then this evening is probably not for you. But if you are curious, feel very welcome.
We work in an earthly, behaved way: we do not float away, but bring the light to the earth and daily life.
Singing along is allowed, but not necessary. You can move along at your own pace; everything may arise as it arises. We guide you in this. You don't have to know anything.

As guest musicians I will bring with me Gijsbert on guitar and Jashvant on tabla’s.
It will definitely make a magical evening of heartopening chanting and you are all going to love the setting and the wonderful play of these sweet friends.

A heartwarming afternoon of connection where you can give your heart extra space in kirtan with various musicians followed by a delicious vegan meal, a great opportunity to feel the upliftment of community!
Join us for this afternoon packed with soul-stirring kirtan!
Kirtans will be led by Dhanyo Scholten and Ida Stuij and will be supported by Gijsbert Wind on guitar, Ábris Ilonczai on violin, Miguel Fueguito on bass, Jashvant Badloe on tabla’s, and Aravinda Tedjai on dholak, ending with a nice after party sharing a fulfilling vegan meal provided by our star-cook Bert Lambrechts.
It is also possible not to eat along, but the (vegan) meal is highly recommended.

Yoga Relax & Kirtan Retreat France
Join us for a wonderful and relaxed weekend out in Northern France (just across the border of Belgium)
Refreshing mornings with vinyasa yoga, relaxing afternoons with yoga nidra and cozy evenings singing by the fire.
Furthermore, there is also space in between for, for example, a dip in the swimming pool or a nature walk.
The yoga classes are supervised by Marieke Meulenbeld, kirtans by Dhanyo Scholten and Gijsbert Wind and the delicious vegan meals are prepared by star chef Bert Lambrechts.
There are double, triple, four and five-person rooms and there is the possibility to set up your own tent.
The location is approximately 4 hours drive from Amsterdam.

Join us for a warm welcome at this kirtan and cacao ceremony.
The kirtan will be led by Dhanyo and Gijsbert.
This evening we reinforce the power of singing the mantra with a cup of cacao. We start with a cacao ceremony and after that we dedicate the rest of the time singing mantra’s.
Of course, you are free to take no or a smaller dose of cacao.
The cacao will elevate a heart-opening experience where we co-create a beautiful atmosphere filled with love and connection.
Cacao has an exciting effect and stimulates the circulation. If you are pregnant or taking medication, we recommend checking in advance whether cacao is suitable for you.

Navaratri Kirtan
This Friday kirtan at Svaha Yoga we celebrate the victory of the Goddess and also Ram.
We dedicate our full attention in chanting to Her.
During the navaratra celebration (nine nights of worship!) especially it is very auspicious to worship the feminine forces in and around us and we'll be able to receive full blessings of Maha Shakti.
This last day is dedicated to the goddess in the form of Siddhidhatri, the mother who bestows all siddhis and brings us total fulfillment, and this is also the day the victory of Aries is celebrated. In short, a good time for a party.

Experience a great connecting evening of singing together and let your voice be completely free during this enchanting event.
Kirtan is a medium to open your heart and it brings a powerful feeling of being together.
The Sanskrit mantras we sing carry healing vibrations and when we give those mantras sound from our hearts with devotion, a tuning takes place with the source of joy and peace deep within us.
On this blessed day a special Vedic ceremony will be performed and the atmosphere will be charged with sacred vibes already before we start singing.
Our team consists of me on harmonium and lead voice, Joao on guitar, Abris on violin, Miguel on bass, Aravinda on dholak and Medine as angelic second voice (these friends are amazing!) and our aim is to go sing with 150+ people and create a powerful energy field that has a strong ripple effect on the whole Amsterdam.

All welcome to take part in a puja where Baba Hairakhan is formally invited as the presence or the Sadguru in our hearts.
During this puja His sandals representing His feet are washed, perfumed and adorned with flowers. Also you can offer a physical donation as is done generally in India.
A joyful ceremony during and after which there will be kirtan sung as well.

Dhanyo Scholten has been leading a weekly kirtan in the Svaha Yoga studio in Amsterdam since 2007.
The singing of devotional mantras has been instilled in him and over the years he has developed a rather unique way of guiding in which everyone present can add their own, so that the whole results in a harmonious fusion of voices.
