I'm Dhanyo Scholten, also known as Dharmananda, and I was born and raised in the heart of Amsterdam. My home had a temple dedicated to Haidakhan Baba, where visitors gathered weekly for services. In 1991, I became involved with the Sada Shiva Dham ashram in the Veluwe, and my experiences there, along with my travels to India, have profoundly influenced my life perspectives.

In 2007, I was invited to play weekly kirtan at Svaha Yoga, a tradition that continues to this day. Besides the weekly kirtans, I offer a variety of other kirtan-related events at Svaha Yoga, other yoga studios, and at the ashram.

The practice of kirtan has deeply ignited my inner light, and sharing this with so many people has become my life's mission.
